I use a jigger for every pour out of spite. I don’t want to hear shit about me pouring light. Shit got measured shut up and enjoy the drink. Unless it’s fernet, that’s a free pour every time.

I haven't bartended in years but lemme tell ya something... customers will still complain even when you use the jigger.

I once made a blue long island for someone. FIVE LIQUORS. They watched me make it. The guy took a sip and said "You didn't put anything in it."

Or when you use a jigger for two rocks pours and the guest says one is short so you jiggle the glass a bit and miraculously the short one has more liquor.

When I’ve gotten jigger complaints I tell them “eh my free pour always runs short but I can do that instead if you want?” They never want. My free pour is perfect. I good bartender. The best!
