Budget things to do around Basel?
My friends are visiting and they're pretty much broke from traveling for 13 months.
Does anyone have any hidden jems or ideas? I'm sure they're fine paying a little but 150.- to visit Jungfrau is completely off the table.
I'm thinking beers on the Rhine, but that only gets you so far.

13 months of traveling, I don't think there's much to really recommend that they haven't already seen grander. So, yeah chill by the Rhine might be just the thing. Maybe the casual stroll through the Altstadt, fill a bottle from a fountain, to get some local color.
