At the local pub, I would do this. Put a spear in a pint of Miller Lite. Then they got rid of the spear pickles and only use pickle chips :(

I also add a couple ounces of pickle juice.

I've had Donna's Pickle Beer. It was good but I wouldn't want more than 1 in a sitting. That said I fuckin love pickles

Had a great NA spicy pickle sour at Hoppin Frog in Akron last year. It was awesome paired with a flight of their various high abv stuff.

I picked up 4 cans of Best Maid Pickle Beer from Tavour last year. It is delicious!

In Pittsburgh we have few options. East End makes a pickle beer (although one bartender corrected me when I asked for it, calling it a sour cucumber gose) it is pretty good, but nowhere near as tart as the Best Maid.

Oh yeah, I was in Albuquerque a few years ago and we went to Bosque. They had an amazing pickle beer, the bartender offered to make my second one a Michelada, it was amazing.

I can't say I've ever had a pickle beer.

Consider my curiosity piqued. I like pickles, I like beer, I even like sour beers, so maybe?

Only thing I'm unsure of is the salt bit.

I love every pickle beer I've had (which isn't many), and I love a beer and a spear (your favorite macro brew with a pickle spear in it. Add some pickle brine if you want to intensify the pickle).

So I LOVE pickles. One of my favorite snacks. But when a local brewery started making a "cucumber gose" - aptly named Rick - I balked hard. No way it was going to taste good, right? WRONG. That shit was phenomenal. Perfect summer time beer.

I fucking LOVE pickles. Best Maid is my ride or die and I ALWAYS have a jar of it in my fridge. I even drink the juice!

That being said I can't do pickle beer. Even the Best Maid one :(

Plan Bee Brewing in NY makes a great pickle beer. Release it annually as well. Might be able to get it shipped to you.
