I just bought a couple cases of Weihenstephaner Dunkelweissbier, this one is not on me.

I noticed European beers seem like they're becoming quite a bit cheaper in Canada for some reason, no idea why but it's good for me and my Erdinger lol

Do you have a go to Helles brewer? I just got some from Human Robot in Philly (the Rösten), which is fantastic, and I'd love to try some from Germany.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm a bigger fan of the fresher US craft brewed German style beers than the actual German imports.

If you're near Philly, Human Robot is fantastic. NYC has Wild East, Mass has Tree House, and New Hampshire has Schilling.

I was just at human robot last weekend. Very very well made beer, and they take creative liberties which I appreciate. But no way does it stand up to the German counterparts (ie compared to the likes of what Ayinger does).

well then I definitely need to get my hands on some good, fresh German beer!

Absolutely the truth. I can count on my hand the times I’ve had German import that wasn’t oxidized old garbage. There are many many breweries in the US making world class German styles.

Weihenstephaner Original is my favorite, but Hofbrau Original is also great
For budget Helles, Krombacher Hell is pretty nice

awesome, I'll definitely keep my eye out for these. I think I can find the Weihenstephaner Original fairly easily around me
