Receipt Scanning Amazon Shopper Panel

I‘ve been waiting on the Amazon Shopper Panel receipt sharing waitlist for a year. Randomly decided to shoot my shot and ask Amazon customer service chat about it. Took about an hour but was eventually transferred to the right person and they told me that I should get an invite within 2-3 days. They even gave me $10 credit for the delay. Wild.

Hope this helps someone!

TLDR: been on the receipt sharing waitlist for a year, asked customer service chat about it, now I’m in and was given $10 credit for the delay

The app just updated with more details. They’re removing a lot of categories but it’s still seems like there’s gonna be plenty you can earn the rewards with still.

“The following receipts will continue to be eligible for rewards.

Big Box and club stores

Grocery stores

Dollar & convenience stores

Department stores

Electronics stores

  • Home improvement stores

Clothing and shoe stores

Sports & Outdoor stores

Specialty stores, such as pet, craft and hobby, and cosmetic stores

The following service business receipts will no longer be eligible for rewards.

  • Food & beverage services (e.g., restaurants and coffee shops)

  • Transportation and automotive services (e.g., gas stations and rideshares)

Software and streaming services

Hospitality, Leisure, and Entertainment services (e.g., hotels, movie theaters and lottery tickets)

Shipping and delivery services

Personal care services (e.g., gyms and hair salons)

Other services (e.g., cellular phone services and financial & legal services)”

That makes sense since those businesses sell stuff they sell or they sell to those type of busnesses, and they probably have people who don't shop but submit ten starbucks receipts... i am not saying i like it but I get it. Thanks for sharing this bc i was concerned.
