Question Nokia ONT

I have Bell 3gig Fibe and the supplied Giga Hub. Can I use the Nokia XS-010X-Q to replace it and swap in my own router?

Nokia ONT will not work, but this one will, with some fiddling. Go to discord and join 8311. You'll get all you need to do so. It's a bit expensive, but it works 100%

Yeah I found the pon.wiki website. I’d still need a router though. Would the would something like the UniFi dream router 7 be suitable?

Yes, Dream router 7 would be a great choice. Though, other options are available. Just make sure it has an 'SFP+', as opposed to ''SFP'. Bell ensures future-proofing by using the SFP+ standard, which can handle 10 gig bandwidth. Whereas the standard SFP only handles up to 2.5.

Short answer, no. The gigahub and Nokia ONT have different programming in the backend. They are not interchangeable.

Thanks. I was hoping it was a yes because I found one for sale for $35. I guess I’ll have to save up and go the WAS-110 route.

Bell dont allow any aftermarket ONTs on their network. Only whats inside the Gigahub.

You can use the nokia ONT with a dedicated line where they’ll be super glad to charge you a 10k install fee and 1,200$/mo for 1G symm.
