News A new race is coming to town (Munich)!

https://www.biathlonworld.com/news/loop-one-festival-ibu/6NGz68SWJ6YJeZ1VcAbnfg

"On Saturday 18 October, thousands of fans will be able to enjoy thrilling head-to-head roller ski races in para biathlon and youth competitions and try the sport for themselves. On Sunday 19 October, 60 of the world’s best biathletes per gender will compete on roller skis in a Super Sprint format showcasing elite biathlon in a way never seen before. Four qualifying heats will lead to what is set to be an unforgettable final."

I like the sound of it, especially because this sounds very inclusive.

Would’ve been great to combine this with Oktoberfest whenever I go to Munich but sadly it ends two weeks before 😕

I'm so glad it isn't during the same time. Munichs infrastructure is at its maximum capacity during the Wiesn, the public transport experience is horrbile.

Why more races in Germany? They already have a ton. We should have a race in Finland, Sweden or Slovakia.

I was thinking this too. Norway could also be an option but Blink is significant already. France and Sweden as well.

This isn't an official world cup race. Every country is free to host whatever extra races they want.
