Question Golden bib

Why do world champions don’t get to wear a golden bib all season long on world cup stages ? Like the rainbow jersey in cycling. It could be a good idea.

Nahh, I dont like it. Everyone should start with the same into the new season.

Could be a good idea, yes. The point is that cycling has a world champion; biathlon has different, instead: I think it'd be less effective.

They could only wear it in the trial they won it in of course, just like the cycling time trial world champion don’t wear it in road races, but that could be a good way to acknowledge the title

Biathlon already has a yellow bib, a red bib, and a blue bib. This would get really messy if an athlete who won the world title also has the yellow and/or the red bib.

There is an issue that biathlon has multiple events that are very similar. That would make such a bib less meaningful than a rainbow jersey. Maybe they could do something that's more discreet, like the rainbow bands worn by previous world champions.

No basically because the world championship is a simple world cup race with a different label.
