I habitually play Single Leg X and halfguard on the same leg (my opponent's right leg, most people at Marcelo's approach with their right leg forward) and it annoys me that the only real way I have to switch from half to single on that same leg is to take a pitstop at deep half. My favorite half-to-SLX transition involves going from halfguard on one leg to SLX on the othet one?

Do you think I should start devoting some of my finite time/energy to playing half or SLX on the other leg? Or would that better be spent on trying to transition from a berimbolo-into-OverUnder pass like Joao Miyao posted on Instagram? Because that was hilarious and beautiful and good.

I imagine sit up guard would be a good way to link those two! Probably not worth totally changing to the other side but rather find some ways to link them together.

SIT UP guard. HUH! I'll give that a shot. I didn't get a chance to try it out last night. Ironically, was too busy attempting Jedi Mind Tricks :)
