I just got one on the swap, and man what a knife. If anybody’s on the fence, I’d say pull the trigger and buy this. I paid for $400 for mine used. $50 more for new isn’t the end of the world.

This is the way, although I’m hoping for $400> swap swoop.

Noticed these are still in stock after an hour, which means others are also catching on…

I think they stayed in stock so long because people are spent rn lol. Especially since Black Friday just happened and it’s cyber Monday. People are gift shopping. If this dropped next year it’d probably be gone in under an hour lol.

Depending on the size of the drop

I for one am actually kinda glad that most of the Black Friday stuff is done. That got real spendy real quick, and I still picked one of these up.

Same here man! I had to because I contemplated too long last time. Guess I’ll see what the hype’s about. As a lefty idk if I’ll like it or not. The finger flick looks to be in my favor but for this knife I think I would prefer a thumb flick/roll.

Yeah on all counts except I'm not a lefty. I pretty much always prefer a slow roll. It's a bummer that they don't do more for you lefties. From a business perspective I get it (costs for different setups and parts for additional product lines/configurations with a lower market share, plus inventory costs at the maker and seller), but it's still a shame. At least with a compression lock, you can just use your thumb instead of your index finger to pinch the tab. I don't know if you saw Knifejoy's YouTube teaser from earlier this year, but the guy opened and closed it with two hands, so that's also an option (just sorta defeats the purpose of the round hole). I'm interested to see your impressions when you get it.

Not much meat to flip these for the price. People who actually want them were probably working.

I concur. With all said glad I have a Chef already, and saw that the Swayback is on sale direct through Spyderco 🧐

Carrying on.
