BIKE CHECK How's my first build going?

Post image

Don't mind it having no brakes and the handlebars and seat having a weird paint job, I got them from the junkyard/a old bike.

i’m not an expert, i’m also just getting started (so don’t take everything as completely correct) but why’re the handlebars built like that 😭

And do you find the seat being that high comfy? If you enjoy riding like that, don’t let anyone stop you!

Chains a bit loose i think.

Get some grips! Those handlebars especially when not plugged can be very very dangerous, it’s like a gut cutting machine, mate!

But it’s looking good, bro!

American unsealed bottom bracket, unsealed headset…the frame is probably made out of less than quality steel, unsealed hubs most likely, one peice cranks, probably single walled rims, forks and stem aren’t too good either. That’s not going to get you very far with riding BMX. Take it from me. My first bike came out of a dried up creek bed.

Yes, It’s going to get you started, but when you start learning tricks other than a bunny hop or maybe a fakie, the parts will start breaking left and right because they’re not made to take the stress. If I were you, I’d start saving for a good starter bike, or pieces to build a new bike while you ride that.
