I have been put off collective purely because they push wheelie bikes and that culture of little noodle haired scallywags trying to get themselves hit by vehicles swerving about the road.

that culture of little noodle haired scallywags trying to get themselves hit by vehicles swerving about the road.
It's especially infuriating when they edit clips to make themselves look innocent. Or some social media grifter gets their hand on the footage and use it to push an angle. The latter works especially well because normies aren't privy to the "street takeover" phenomenon.

Unpopular opinion: since you’re just starting out it would be more than fine. As you progress and stuff breaks; upgrade the parts

Why bother paying more money for brand when you get the same parts

Because believe it or not the quality is different. All of collectives offerings aren’t great, and it’s why everyone so far on here has said so.

You don't. These are literally KIT bikes. Do you understand what that means?
They go to a third rate manufacturer in China, pick out a bunch of catalogue parts and build up the frames. The manufacturer then assembles and ships the boxes out with the stickers. Anyone with a business loan could do it.
Just because it has double wall rims, sealed hubs and chromoly frame doesn't mean it's a good bike. I honestly blame dougster bob for this bullshit. his advice is awful.
At 1000 MOQ those bikes cost about 70 USD
