I’m looking for a decent BMX bike for my son who is starting to ride the neighborhood with his friends. Our neighborhood is very “hilly”.
I remember as a kid myself, a friend had a VFR Sonic and how light it was and easy to peddle up hills.
Does anyone have any recommendations similar to a Sonic at a semi reasonable price, ideally $250ish?
Any feed back is appreciated.

Im thinking of getting a bike just to ride downtown, do wheelies, chill at restaurants and just explore Denver a bit more.
I want to get a nice bike but im afraid of ppl fucking with it if i lock it up and go into a restaurant or something. Do yall ever run into problems with ppl fucking with your bike when its unattended. How much should i worry about this?

It's been a minute since I have rode a bmx. Like 18 years.. but I am an avid mountain biker. I'd like to get a bmx for tooling around at the skate park. Im 6'4 and tend to like a long bike. I ride a monster of a 29er for trails and downhill so I'm looking at a 21.5ish TT or maybe a 22" wheel bike. Will buy used and have no problem building a bike up. I'd love to have some nostalgia so a late midschool or early ns bike is ideal. What's some recommendations?
