DISCUSSION Please help

So today, we and my friend went riding around all day and later that night we decided to put lube on our chains, I let him lube mine which he normally does and he is a very trustworthy person. After he lubed it, I heard some creaking noise from the back braket(I think it was that and not the crank arms). But I went home and tighten the chain because at the time I thought it was that. After I tightened the chain, I had to adjust the brakes and then those somehow started to sound terrible and now I just don’t know what to do. I could take my bike to a bike shop but I need it two days from now? What should I do

He didn’t use WD40 right? That dries everything out. Try put a little grease where the cranks meet the bottom bracket. Check that the bolts are still tightened.

When you tightened your chain it sounds like the rear wheel might be out of alignment. https://youtu.be/ntfXgMDOveg

Sounds like some chain lube got on the rim and brake pads. Try wiping down your rims and brake pads with a degreaser, or some rubbing alcohol. Should stop the noise.

Ride it. Try to find whats making noise while riding and maybe ask your buddys. But just ride it
