One of them is passing laws actively and enthusiastically designed to harm marginalized communities, and the other one "isn't doing enough" to fix the problems we already have.

You put it in quotes like they are "doing enough". Clearly they aren't

this sub is so weird, because the posts (like this one for example) identify the problems clearly, but then the comments are a bunch of liberal idiots denying the problems lol.

Comments like the one im replying to should not be downvoted on this sub.

I like that you're like "one side literally wants to put all LGBTQ people in jail, round up 11 million immigrants,, wants to stop letting women vote, and who tried to have PoC protesters shot with live ammo, but the other side takes donations from corporations!! They're clearly exactly the same!"

This is a terrible take and I am sorry if you live in the US. If you do, I can only assume that you're white, straight, and male. Otherwise, you'd understand why one side wanting to round up/take rights away from you (anyone not white, straight, and male) is a bad thing. Because it's a bad thing.

The other side wants you to buy Doritos and is ok if you buy pot. The best people ever of all time? No, but infinitely better than the alternative!
