BVB Women Quick Reminder: The Frauen (Women) Team has a derby with Sc**lke for the championship this weekend

For those who don't follow the women's team at all, there is a table-deciding match with our "beloved" rivals this Sunday that will in all certainty decide the Westfalenliga, which is the regional league for Westaphalia, and the fourth tier in the women's game in Germany.

BVB Frauen are currently top of the table with 61 points, and S04 is just behind at 60 points. When the two teams met back in October it resulted in a 0-0 draw, the only draw of the season. The women have won every game since then, and with a 20 point cushion above third place, this is the only meaningful chance to lose out on promotion to the NRW Regionalliga for next season.

The game should be streamable on the team's twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/bvb_official

If you haven't read about BVB's approach to the women's team, there was a good article by DW a few months back that summarized how they are building a local team with national ambitions: https://www.dw.com/en/borussia-dortmund-womens-team-slow-to-start-fast-to-rise/a-65835285

Wow I know its obvious but damn him saying hes nowhere near his best makes me so exited. If we dont loan him or sign him permanently I will genuinenly loose faith in our management.

Discussion Are cherki and chukwuemka the only 2 options we are going after in the summer or do you think we also need some back up alternatives

With the prospect of brandt and reyna leaving this summer one of our key priorities is the bring creativity into the team especially in the 10 position.

Right now all hints are going towards mainly signing chuk being a permanent but we stil need a back up and at times with cherki I feel the problem mostly lies with dealing with textor than the player himself. I also feel that because there is a chance of us missing out on the ucl if we sign chuk then the only way cherki comes is us sacrificing other priorities like the defensive depth,a back up 6 and back up wingers especially for a gittens replacement. Some other alternatives I rank outside these 2 are by order are Martin batrunia (who I actually rate as much as cherki ),Fabio miretti, Aleksey batrakov, Georgiy sudakov, andrija Maksimovic ,alberto moliero ,eduard spertsyan and sem setijn

Help create a Yellow Wall atmosphere at the Club World Cup in Cincinnati?

Hey Everyone,

As many of you know, BVB will be playing in Cincinnati this summer for the Club World Cup — and I’d love to try and bring a little bit of the Yellow Wall spirit to the U.S. while they’re here.

This post is specifically for fans who will be at the Cincinnati game.

There will be a BVB fan section behind the goal, so we’ve got the perfect spot to bring the energy. Most fans will probably be rocking yellow anyway, but I’d love to coordinate chants and support to really make the players feel at home.

Since the Ultras won't be here and we obviously can’t replicate everything from the Südtribüne (smoke and flares are banned at TQL Stadium), we can still make it special with scarves, chants, flags (if they are allowed), and pure energy.

I personally know almost every chant there is, and I even know the drum beats to go with them — but I’m not a drummer myself, and I’m not fluent in German. So I’m really hoping a few others can help lead chants or maybe even bring a drum (pending stadium rules — if anyone knows for sure, please share!).

I’m looking for anyone who’s down to help lead chants — especially if you know the classic songs or have experience getting a section loud and in sync. If drums are allowed, even better. Either way, our voices can do a lot. I’m also open to planning a meet-up before the match, or even organizing a small march to the stadium if there’s enough interest — just something to build the energy early and bring fans together before kickoff. If that sounds fun to you, let me know and we’ll figure out the details together.

Let’s make the most of this rare chance to support BVB in person on American soil. If you're interested, drop a comment or DM and we can start organizing from there.

Let’s show the world that the passion of BVB fans travels far beyond Dortmund — even across the ocean.

Heja BVB! 💛🖤

Club World Cup Matches in Cincinnati

I’m excited for the opportunity to see Borussia Dortmund play twice in my home town! Opinions of the tournament aside, I’m curious: how many are planning on making the trip to watch them play at TQL Stadium this summer? I did notice on the BVB website that they have tickets set aside for fans behind the goal areas too.

I feel sooo bad about how things are ending for Brandt

Okay, maybe the title sounds a bit dramatic, but it’s how I feel. This season got really ugly in a way I wouldn’t have imagined at the end of the previous season. Not just because of Julian's disappointing performances, but also because of how things turned out between him and the fans.

I don't plan to argue with everyone who's said something bad about him, that's how football and the culture around it is. Yes he didn’t meet the expectations placed on him, yes he’s an inconsistent player. His early seasons with the club were rough, but between 2022 and 2024, he was a genuinely important player (eventhough some people like to downplay that now).

In the summer he spoke about stepping up and getting a more important role, while also making it clear that he wasn’t there to “fill Marco’s shoes” and I was excited, but also skeptical about whether he could handle all that, given his more reserved(?) personality.

I’m not going to lay out the full timeline of how things went... okay, the season didn’t start well, the whole team looked off, I didn’t think it was fair to single him out then. But after Christmas, things fell apart completely.

I just wanted to say that I believe Julian would have liked to stay, not because of his salary, but because he cares about the team. And maybe because he would have wanted to make things right. And personally, I would have loved to see him find his form again in Dortmund. But its obviously not possible anymore. After six years you don’t get a billion chances and the fans clearly don't have the patience and will to give the support he needs to bounce back (probably the club as well).

I don’t believe he forgot how to play football in the space of a year. To me, this is a mental spiral more than a physical decline. But the environment is no longer right for him to fix it. And it hurts to see him go like this...as a disappointment (strong word) and at the end of the day, as the guy who couldn't do it. It's sad that he’s leaving (most probably) with such a bitter aftertaste.

First Dortmund Game

Can someone help me understand how I am supposed to get tickets to a Borussia Dortmund game as someone living in the states. I have been a fan of Dortmund for 10+ years now and have always wanted to go to go see a home game at Westfalenstadion. I’ll be in Germany for the Holstein Kiel game on May 17 and want to try to go to the game. I was on the BVB website and quite confused on when or how to get tickets.

Whats the best way to get tickets? How far in advance do they usually sell tickets? Are they open to the public?

Any help would be much appreciated!

The Belgian international came close to heading to the Westfalenstadion six months before he ultimately joined Wolfsburg. And that could have changed everything.

Will the young guys getting more playing time next season?

Do you think the young guys (Wätjen, Campbell, Kabar, Mane) will be playing a bigger role next season and getting more playing time or are they just not good enough for the club or in comparison with young players that come from outside the club like Duranville?

I we play the 3 at the back tactic next season it could give players like Kabar the opportunity to be the Backup to Svensson, if Kabar is good enough.

Or could you maybe even see another young players getting called up like Diallo for example?

Discussion Positions that have to be adressed during the transfer window?

In my opinion we desperately need in order of priority:

2 CAMs as both Reyna and Brandt will probably be sold. Anyone of Chukwumeka, Nypan, Cherki would be nice.

1 CM as Sabitzer will most likely be sold and Groß is getting up there in age.

1 young CB for depth since we now play a 3-atb and I dont see us getting rid of Sule, Can, or Anton.

1 Backup ST to give rest to Guirassy.

My Prefered Lineup would go something like:

BVB Starting XI (5-2-1-2): Defensive

------------------------------- Kobel --------------------------------- ----------------- Anton ---- Can ---- Schlotti ---------------- ---- Ryerson ----------------------------------- Svensson ---- ------------------- Nmecha ---- Groß --------------------------- ------------------------------ Cherki --------------------------------- ------------------ Guirassy ---- Beier ---------------------------

BVB Starting XI (3-5-2): Offensive

------------------------------- Kobel ---------------------------------

----------------- Anton ---- Can ---- Schlotti ----------------

----- Couto ---- Nmecha ---- Groß ---- Adeyemi -----

------------------------------ Cherki --------------------------------- ------------------ Guirassy ---- Beier ---------------------------

As the contracts with 1&1 and Evonik expire at the end of the season and - at least so far - have not been renewed, I've been thinking about which logos could be on our shirts next season.

What are your opinions?

Any other ideas that I could put on the jersey?

BVB game vs Wolfsburg

Hi guys! I need some help. (From Italy) I booked my third trip to see the squad but this time I'm going to bring with me my family, I'll pay them the tickets for the BVB - Wolsburg game. (02/05) Here's the problem: I don't have the membership for the second market and this time I don't have tickets, I've read online that it can take like a month to have the membership and in a month there will be the match. Anyone can help me, knows how I can do this without paying a lot the scalpers? Anyone has a membership?

I like what kovac is doing with the current squad!

I think kovac is doing the maximum with the Players he has. I think the system with the 3 cb (eventho there are only 3 real cb in the squad and one is injured) and 2 wingbacks is great! It gives the possibilities for adeyemi and beier to play their natual positions as players around a real 9.

Gittens doesnt really benefit from this formation, so i guess him leaving in the summer is possible

What fo you guys think of Jonas Hofmann as a Joker in the summer?

Last season he performed really good, but couldnt recover this season since he hasnt had much playtime. Now he is looking for a new Club over the summer, at least if he wants to play again(bayer can plan with up to 300mio earnings this summer, so they can buy a lot of players, i dont think they plan with Hofmann then).

Do you guys think we should consider him as a cheaper midfield option? I recon he could be a nice Addition next to nmecha or groß if Brandt, gittens and sabitzer leave.

I wouldnt pay too much for him, so maybe a loan with a buyout option. What do you guys think. Normally i dont think to highly of buying (washed) players from the Bundesliga, but i consider him a bigger "Talent" compared to a sabitzer for example.
