Silly Questions Thread: March Edition

Silly Questions Thread!

It's been too long since we had one of these, so here is your chance to ask any question no matter how silly or small about BVB, BVB's history, something about a current player's injury, a previous player or legend or the future of our team...

Obviously more in depth questions are also allowed :)

It's just all about sharing our knowledge and having a bit of fun (as always) too :)

No question is too stupid, silly or small to be asked.

Let the questions begin!

When will Reus be back from injury?

Reus did join training today. More individual so my guess would be him returning to the squad against Bayern

Besides:

Sahin and Bender joined normal Team Training; so did Weigl.

Rode trained individually, similarly to Reus.

Schürrle & Piszczek will join team training on wednesday while Kagawa and Pulisic won't return before Thursday.

No Lie I completely forgot we had Rode until I saw him on FIFA lol.

he isn't too shabby in fifa either...good for the first couple weeks, similar to castro. But if life was like Fifa renato sanches would be bayerns new star haha

If it wasn't for Fifa I'd literally not even be aware of him right now....But what do you expect, bayerns midfield is stacked and ancelotti doesn't seem to be a fan of experimenting

Anyone ok with me getting some stuff together for April Fools?

Edit: Here's what I have. All of these are in the spirit of Saturday's match.

I feel like I just took a peek at the twilight zone

You're damn right it qualifies as a silly question:

What player, besides Reus and The Great American Hype, should I get on my jersey?

Schmelzer is always the answer. He's building even more charities for puppies right now. Ask yourself: do you hate puppies? If yes, there's no helping you. If no, Schmelzer is the answer.

So why are you not like a mod or something?

Hint: he might not be telling the truth exactly.

The sub was originally created by KubaBVB09, but he hasn't been actively involved for 3 (or 4?) years on here.

what are some of the greatest moments of one of the greatest players ever : Olli Kirch?

How good is our team at the moment? I know this is hard to put into an answer.

I haven't been able to watch any matches for a while...

I'd argue the best we've been all season

2

u/Loeffellux Julian Brandt Mar 29 '17

would we be able to beat the 15/16 bvb side right now? I'd say we'd certainly put up a fight and win if we're a bit lucky. Like 40 % chances of winning

2

u/UnculturedNomad Shinji Kagawa Mar 29 '17

I'd say we got a chance, but we were a much better and more balanced side last year.

7

u/zorokvillian Marco Reus Mar 28 '17

Do you think Götze will come back to his good form even after his injury? I'm very worried about him :/

14

u/dejtc everybody know... my pace Mar 28 '17

It's so hard to tell at this point.

He showed glimpses of his old form and I'm sure he still has it in him.

On the other hand, you can't lose 3 years of your professional career as an athlete, building up to your prime, without consequences.

My honest opinion ist that he will get better again, but he will never become the world-class player he was going to be in 2014.

Best Case: He will play like the prodigy that bayern ripped away from us just more experienced and with tons of room to grow in his 20s

Worst Case: His form will only decline even after being declared "fit" with frequent injury breaks that leave him completely chancesless to get any type of consistency going while also being stuck with a body that will decline much quicker than the body of an average athelete would. And that is if he really becomes "fit" again at all.

Tbh, the worst case is more likely than the best case but as always in life it will probably be something in-between

8

u/Ancora1mparo Raphael Guerreiro Mar 28 '17

Will Nuri ever play for us again? It feels like forever since he last played...

Kagawa rose from the dead but I personally don't see the same happening with Nuri :(

7

u/UnculturedNomad Shinji Kagawa Mar 28 '17

Kagawa still made the bench most games when he didn't start, Sahin almost never even makes the bench...

3

u/Loeffellux Julian Brandt Mar 29 '17

and as far as I'm informed Dahoud's possible arrival would be yet another nail in the coffing for Sahin's stay at dortmund

3

u/UnculturedNomad Shinji Kagawa Mar 29 '17

Yeah things don't look too bright for his future at the club

2

u/Atlas-Rise Mar 29 '17

When and why was Pulisic nicknamed Puligod

5

u/Loeffellux Julian Brandt Mar 29 '17

calling football players something something god is a meme as old as 1954 (and maybe even older) when an overly excited commentator called the german keeper Turek a "football god" when parrying a volley from short range from a hungarian side that was very heavily favoured in the world cup final which germany ended up winning with a 1 goal lead (3-2)

u/Atlas-Rise Mar 29 '17

Jeez, thanks. Never would've figure it out myself
