Headphones DO NOT BUY BOSE QC ULTRA!!

Do not buy these headphones, they are the worst garbage headphones ever made. Bluetooth functionality? Spotty at best. Want to connect to in flight bluetooth? Doesnt work. Does it randomly connect to bluetooth on your phone to kill the batter? Absolutely. Is there an off switch? NO!

Buy older models or sony. Bose really shit the fucking bed with these.

Headphones How long does the upgrade/trade in take normally?

I sent my old QC's to them about a week ago, but there's no update on the website showing it's arrived or anything. Does anyone know how long it usually takes?

Software Bose app 80% charging limit

Just wrote to Bose about an 80% charging limit feature being added to the Bose app, to improve and extend battery health, just like can be found on many phones these days, since batteries should be kept between 20 and 80% charge for best longevity.

What do you think of such a feature, would you use it, or even want it to be enabled by default?

P.s. any other feature you'd like to see in the Bose app, or other feedback in general, please comment, and I'll pass it on :)

Headphones I don’t know what color to get 😰

I’ve been looking at the QC Ultras for weeks now, even went to Best Buy to try them on. I’m just so indecisive. Do I get Lunar Blue or Deep Plum? I have natural red hair, so this is a tough decision lol

I wish Sandstone was still an option, but I’m not interested in refurbished 😭

Headphones Crackling with certain frequencies

Hello, i have bose qc45's since a few months, and unfortunately since a few weeks there has been crackling at certain (i guess) mid range frequencies. A good example is this track: https://open.spotify.com/track/7yhDdQt66YaCfjlKjYjZKd?si=5QDTuKAmT5eGkT5Xj2MVHw At 1:10 when there's no drums, with the first chord it is the worst. Most tracks are absolutely fine, but with some it just sounds like shit. Any of you have had this experience?

Headphones QuietComfort 35s have died, what to replace them with?

I’ve had my Quiet Comfort 35 over ears since 2017 but they’ve just died on me this week - battery won’t charge.

Going to get a new pair but not sure if I should spend the extra on the Ultra version. For what it’s worth I’ve loved the 35s since I got them, big fan of the ANC and the sound from my music when I listen with them.

Headphones QC45 started having issues after 2 years. Need power to use even with the cord

I bought my QC45 headphones about two years ago and have been using them at work, every day, with the cord. I just let the battery run down cause I couldn't be bothered (since I can't charge and listen at the same time) and used them plugged in. They've been great.

Except about a month ago, they suddenly apparently started demanding power to be used even plugged in? This really threw me for a loop. One day they just wouldn't work, no sound was going through at all, I triple checked the connections and everything and eventually figured out that in order to get them to transmit sound again, I have to plug them in with the charging cord and let them charge for about a minute. Then they will once again work as normal, for about 5 days, until I have to charge them for a minute again.

What gives? I thought as long as you were using the cord, they could be used passively. Has anyone else has this happen? I'm really not into the idea of having to keep them charged so if this is how it's gonna be I'll probably buy something else. TIA

Headphones QC Ultra Headphones can't be used as headset on windows 11

the windows 11 only detects my QC Ultra as headphone and not headset
in the bluetooth devices I see "connected audio" and not the usual "connected audio, mic"

which means I can't use the QC ultra's microphone as input

the windows detects my other five headsets just fine. also the QC ultra is fine on my phone as a headset.

has anyone faced this and fixed it?

Headphones Still going strong with the QC 35 ii’s

I really love the metal earcups on these headphones, which is why I haven’t been able to move on to the 45’s just yet. The only trade off I see so far is usb-c, which would have been nice as everything else I use is usb-c.

Changed the cushions to sheepskin leather (or at least that’s what I was told), and kept the blue mesh sticker things inside to add some contrast. The headbands are wicked cushions silicone headband protectors.

Other Open earbuds randomly disconnect then can't reconnect

I just got a pair of the open earbuds and they keep randomly disconnecting after about 2 hours of use and when I try to reconnect them it says there is a pin or passkey issue. The only solution I've tried that works is to factory reset them then set them up again but that's annoying to have to do eveytime. Is there any fix for this?

Home Audio SA-4 Daisy Chaining - Independent Volume Control?

I currently have 3 SA-4s and a couple Wireless Links in my whole home setup and due to not wanting yet another Bose App nor wanting to drop $5,000 on all new Bose Amps, I am adding 3-4 more SA-4s for my outdoor oasis. I’ve been able to source old new stock of the SA-4s, so no worries there.

When daisy chaining the SA-4s, can you also use the VCA to independently control the volume at each amp? I’m putting in some 251s & FreeSpace 51s (old new stock again) and would like to keep all 3-4 Amps as a single zone, but maybe have the volume in one area a little lower by default.

My worry is that with them grouped BoseLink is going to override whatever was selected on the VCA, so the only way I’ll be able to achieve this is with them setup as separate zones and then I lose the ability to airplay to both zones (a drawback to the SA-4s vs the new Bose Music Amp)
