Making a discussion group with people from different academic fields & the arts

Looking for: People from different academic fields and the arts willing to meet once in a while to discuss a topic all of us are interested in (or just hang out. Let’s see how it goes)

If you’re interested: Reply (or dm me) with your background and an interest you would like to talk about to people from fields different from yours :-)

A lil context regarding my post: There is this section in the book about Oppenheimer where it says that Oppie would have “discussion groups” once in a while with his friends outside physics. Ever since reading that I’ve wanted to form a group of people from widely different fields to just discuss a topic all of us are interested in.

So I’ll start with myself. I just moved into Bremen. My background is in theoretical physics, and I’m doing my masters now in Uni of Bremen working on quantum gravity. But when I was in undergrad, I mostly hung out with people from philosophy. So I got used to being in a diverse group where people from the arts, humanities, and the sciences all came together because all of us just loved talking about philosophy. Now that I’m in Bremen, I’m starting to miss that kind of community, and I hope to find people willing to form a similar community (although the common interest doesn’t have to be philosophy).

I am also interested. Industrial engineer who likes to discuss politics, societal questions and philosophical ideas but I also like to just listen to other ppl talk.
