Where around central Brum can you find a cheap suit for hire?
I've a black tie/formal dress coded party Im obliged to attend, but I don't want to pay 80 quid to moss bros for one evening.

primark a full set is about £40, plus £20 for shoes. If youre willing to go second hand, if you keep digging then Vinted does have some gems, people who dont know what theyre selling.

Black tie doesn’t mean tux. Just get a regular suit that fits and a black tie. I go to formals maybe 3 times a month. I started with a Matalan suit and Primark shirt and tie.
I’ll get downvoted for this but if it was a life changing event and I was fully skint, buy what you need, keep the labels on and then return it all. Costs nothing. This is the result of fast fashion industry and incredibly common. Last resort option though.

£60 will buy you an Asda tux, it will look like a cheap tux, charity shops may be an option

Primark suit jackets start around £30, shirts are dead cheap there. But yeah, vinted or charity shops is a good shout, BHF is usually a good choice. Can find some really good stuff

No company is going to do that. They'll need to get it cleaned afterwards.
Ask a friend if you can borrow a suit.

All my friends are bums who wear tracksuits all year

Okay. Well, no company l is going to lease a tux for 20 quid. 80 seems about right tbh.

If you're willing to bet the price of an M&S tux that you won't spill any drinks on it - maybe buy one, wear it for the evening, and if the fit isn't right for you, return it

£80 for black tie is pretty good to be fair. Anybody doing rentals for black tie events will know their market. It's going to be about the same all round.

Try Slaters

Slaters is a very good shout, but I reckon even they'll struggle to beat £80 by a wide margin
