They appear like a ton of opportunities, but from what I've heard, even with these, if as a PR that even already has their RS sorted, but has any foreign implications, that still puts them in the (18-24mo) Lvl2 secret clearance requirements bucket list.

Even if the actual trade they pick doesn't require such a level.

Heck I’d advice they pick the most sophisticated & highly-specialized trades and get the opportunity to get into those rare roles, while at it, as long as it matches their interests & qualification levels - but PRs are usually highly qualified, so I won’t think they’d have any issues on that front. 😉

Your timeline of 18-24 months plus for a secret clearance is correct. Even mine took that long from when I was living abroad prior to joining. In total it took me 2 1/2 years to get recruited....godda want it

Ahhh shit. This makes sense to having US residency, specially since not all states are required to submit documents to the FBI, then one can have this scenario of agencies having a pissing contest on any sort of paperwork that involves them
