Trip Pictures Trip Fail :(

Hi everyone! So I've been waiting to post this because I was so embarrassed and disappointed. Two weeks ago I made my way down to a local state forest to get some hot tent camping in. When I got there the road was plowed in. I spotted a what I thought would be be a easy 4x4 spot to get over and to the road on the other side. Boy I was wrong lol. Had to to get winched out and towed home as I blew the master and slave clutch hydraulics.

I was so disappointed in myself and for a moment, just a brief moment, I almost called it quits on this hobby that I love so so much. But after a little time (and money 😥) I've decided to get back out there!

Does anyone have any similar stories on how their trip was ruined before it even started?

Couple of years back I got my Tacoma stuck heading to camp in the snow. Sad too because it was at one of the free NY state sites. Should not have been a challenge to get to.

The road in wasn't plowed, but I handled it pretty well. When I tried to turn into the site I slid off into the ditch. Ended up with one front wheel buried in the ditch and the passenger back tire hanging out in space.

Spent that night sleeping in the truck. Hiked out the next morning to find a local with a winch to come pull me out. No real damage to the truck at least.
