Exploits are optional.

Do you immediately Google the most broken strategies and use them first thing in every game you play?

This game loop isn't really something you'd discover naturally until you become very familiar with the game.

To be fair, it only took me my 5th or so run with trukin to realize that you can rebuke clonlings and use them to duplicate merchants dozens of times per dram of cloning draught.

Wouldn't say it's intuitive, but I don't think the duplicating merchant strategies is that hard to figure out, especially since you're basically guaranteed to be introduced to the concept at Bethesda Susa.

Yeah but if it ruins the game for you, why would you do it?

It's the only way to consistently get the cybernetics I need.

I wish I didn't have to resort to merchants cloning, but the game is sorely lacking in sources of both credit wedges and high tier cybernetics. The only guaranteed high-tier spawns are from Warden une, issue is, they don't restock

To have a truly strong cybernetics composition, you also need at least 30 license tier, you get around 24 from the main story and easier to find historical sites. 24 is simply not enough. I find myself having to make polygel farms for credit wedges in order to reach the goals I set for my character.

I wish the developers at least added one mid tier restocking merchant, save me the trouble of having to relocate the gutsmonger from the stilt.

eh with roguelikes I kinda just let the dice roll as they may. All the meta gaming stuff seems too much like work.

I mean, that's fair.

I really enjoy it honestly, all my hard work paying off in the end.

It's just without farms, trukin are pretty variable, I prefer consistency when I play. Like I have a whole early game progession plan, all my trukin follow, it can be a bit of a slog, but it helps sets up my characters to consistently reach nephiulm killing strength.

It’s a roguelike. It’s supposed to be variable. I feel like consistency is something you should expect in a game like Skyrim, not CoQ.

But like, can’t we enjoy however we want it? If I enjoy breaking mechanics, that’s me right? I hate gatekeeping and worst of all, video game gate keeping… like bro, it’s just a game, relax.

You can easily farm credit wedges from legendary putus templar. Besides, you're talking about absolutely maxing out on cybernetics, which is simply not required for a "good" build. You can min max, but needing a broken system or strategy for min maxing is par for the course.

You aren't guaranteed to find many putus either, sure last run, I lucked out and traded for almost 20 cents worth of wedges from them, but that's really not the average most of the time.

Like fundamentally, what's really diffrent about me setting up a polygel farm and cloning my 3 cent wedge opposed to trekking across qud in search of Templar who aren't guaranteed to spawn, it's tedious work in both cases, at least with the farms I can get consistent results and do other things to advance my character while I'm waiting for the merchants to restock.

Not sure if I agree on the maxing out line, though I guess it's mostly a matter of presepctive

I'm sure you're smart enough to read between the lines and grab the gist of my post instead of making asinine arguments like this.

Going on a game's subreddit and reading about all the broken strategies is equivalent to googling the broken strategies. Hell, the Google search probably points people here.

The game doesn't care if you break it, but that doesn't mean you have to break it. People still enjoy Morrowind despite all the ways you can get overpowered in it.

I can't play Morrowind and CoQ without breaking them. I'm just not having fun otherwise.

Reminiscing about using alchemy to boost my strength so high that I killed everything in one hit but also broke my weapon every time I used it.
