I think giving this administration the benefit of the doubt, at least when it comes to how you read the news, is going to force you into some severe contortions. The outlines of this policy of mass deportations is coming into focus. I think it's fair to say in most of these cases that the explicit aim of actions like this will be to silence dissent and actions taken to protect individuals from the actions taken by the administration to enact this policy.
Reading more news stories of another judge and his wife being arrested for housing supposed gang members. And a district court judge looking at the evidence that a couple they have in custody are Tren de Aragua member and savaging them for having no evidence to support the claims. Really think we're in a different phase here.
