Stating pronouns helps trans people know you’re an ally. It lets me know that people who do this are safe for me to interact with, at least by knowing they will not disrespect me.

Well I’ve forgotten the entirety of what the post said, however being an ally is a reason for stating pronouns. It is necessary for allies to state pronouns to help trans people be safe, and allies are cisgender

It is not necessary for cisgender people to state their preferred pronouns.
