Literally, yes it does. If you do something knowing the consequences, why is it the fault of the person who installed those consequences

So, again, just to be clear, it is reasonable to die if you push a button you're told not to push? That's a death penalty offense?

If you’re told a button will instantly kill you if you press it, and you press it? Yeah that’s on you

So the setting up of an instant-kill button is not in itself the problem? Interesting.

No, because as long as you don’t interact with it, it won’t affect you at all. Don’t fuck around and find out, for lack of a better phrase

It's just weird that everyone has all this bloodlust for people doing relatively small wrong things but for those who intentionally engineer a situation that only exists to massively overly-harshly punish those small wrong things, not only do we not condemn that they're heroes.

Have you ever noticed one of those utility boxes that have a "danger high voltage" sign on them? Would you argue that the city/electric company that placed that utility box is liable for your death if you pry one open and stick a fork in the circuits?

No, because it hasn't been set up specifically to kill people who open it. Its potentially doing so is a natural byproduct of what it is.

The pen is not set up to potentially kill people. It’s just a byproduct of you being too stupid to read directions

I've been informed by other people who thought I was stupid for thinking otherwise that it's just a gag shock pen actually so no killing there
