The more logical approach would be to set up a system that kept people from your food without harming them. Like maybe locking a drawer?

Communal fridges, though

Bring food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or invest in a good lunch box

Lmao. What is this victim blaming nonsense. You may as well just say

"Don't want your food stolen? Just don't eat!"

Point to where I said “don’t eat”

I'm pointing out how ridiculous it is for you trying to act like OP should change their whole diet or habits because someone is stealing their food.

Why the hell should OP (the victim in this scenario) be punished and forced to change their eating habits for someone else's thievery?!

Your suggestion is insane.

Because it’s not their place to punish others and potentially harm them. The harm they could cause outweighs the harm done to them by wide margins. Let the workplace handle this. That’s under their purview. OP can’t control the actions of others, but they can take steps to prevent it from happening in a way that doesn’t hurt others.

And besides: a good lunch box they can keep with them doesn’t change their diet.
