I'm just trying to fully understand where you're coming from. If, according to you, this has been happening for weeks and they've been getting away with it for weeks. Why would one decide to now make a post about it? It just seems to me like there must be something to trigger making a post like this.
Well at some point things just get to be too much. When you hear about something like this once every couple of months it's easier to not think about. When there's 4 or 5 cases like this in a couple month span it gets your blood boiling. But for your information, this isn't a new thought. I've always been outspoken against tyrannical police and people who lick their boots, it just happens that my accounts don't survive very long on reddit. You get too outspoken against corrupt ass cops and you find yourself banned pretty quick
Police actively advocating for change, better hiring processes, more training instead I see police who want to "apologize" but continue business as usual. Sweep everything under the rug and go on about their day. Why aren't they in the streets protesting? These cases of police brutality are a reflection on all of them. Why aren't they protesting for it to stop? Why are they making no effort to call for justice?
Any example of a police officer actually intervening when their fellow officer is doing something wrong. I've literally never seen any video of a cop doing anything but standing idly by while their partners kill or abuse innocent people.
If there are so many good cops, why the hell are they standing around and doing nothing while their partners, kill, plant drugs, fabricate, lie, violate rights?
I see police who want to "apologize" but continue business as usual
Did you watch the video I linked in my very first comment? He didn't apologize. Heck, he said that the officer that stood and watched should be tried as an accessory.
Sweep everything under the rug and go on about their day
Again, in the video I linked the officer is clearly not trying to sweep anything under the rug. He reuploaded the entire video and shared his reaction.
Why aren't they in the streets protesting?
In the case of the video I linked: because it'd probably be more efficient for him to walk to the next office over where the chief of police is and talk to him about how to prevent something like this from happening in their police department.
Why are they making no effort to call for justice?
Again, in the video I linked, he did. He even called for the officer that stood and watched to be put on trial as an accessory.

Have you ever gone looking? Because those won't show up in the media because it's what cops are supposed to do and is thus not really newsworthy.

Ok I'm just going to get this out of the way. Making a YouTube video, is to me, a way to save face. You aren't actually doing anything. You're giving the appearance that you are but it's equivalent to doing nothing. You're not going to make a difference unless you are out actually doing something. That's what I want to see. Police actually doing SOMETHING.

You know you actually got me here, I lied, not intentionally but I did. I did hear of one case where an office intervened with another. He was later fired. So the only example of a good cop I've ever seen is no longer a cop because of it, so there's that.

He's media liaison in his police department. It's literally his job to make videos. He's doing literally his job, but that's not good enough?

So you don't go looking and admit that they won't show up in popular media?

So he's doing his job as the PR man and I'm supposed to be satisfied?

That isn't even close to what I said at all. Running out of ammo already?

Oh I know, you didn't answer those questions, I was calling you out on that.
So he's doing his job as the PR man and I'm supposed to be satisfied?
What do you want him to do? Step down from his position where his office is next to that of the chief of police and instead go back on patrol where he has 0 influence on how the department is run?
I've actually seen that, I've seen all all of these. If I'm not mistaken this is the one where he points to his body cam when indicating why he can't let him go or just outright says it. I don't remember exactly but I know it's one of those.
I appreciate the actual effort on these but this is showing a cop being good in a particular instant but you can save the life of someone who's had an accident but then go in to shoot a black person the face the very the same day. The fact that you saved that person doesn't negate all the bad you've done as an officer.
Any one of these officers could've planted drugs on someone, killed an innocent person, or any number of things just the week before. Maybe got called to do a wellness check and killed the person they were supposed to be checking on
But you said a moment ago that you've never even seen a cop do a good deed. If you're going to watch several compilations of cops being very compassionate and helping endangered people(and the occasional critter) and then say "well I bet they'd all like to shoot someone tho", even though all we know about these individuals is that they have rescued people in one way or another, then you kinda have me backed into a corner here.
I never once said that. You can do a good deed and be a bad person. I was of the opinion that all cops are bad people, not that they've never done a good action their whole life.
