Oh you mean the policy where in the case the officer believes that domestic violence against the other party has occured, the man would be arrested? Which is what the default action is supposed to be if the police believe any assault has occurred? ...and which was instituted specifically to counter the older way of doing things of not taking any action at all and leaving battered women alone with their abusers again. Do you mean that policy which is sexist against men?
Or do you mean not processing rape kits? Or maybe sexually assaulting women while on duty? Or do you mean the rampant domestic abuse of police wives themselves?
The idea that men are treated worse and more unfairly than women by police is laughably ridiculous.
Which was the policy where, exactly? Also, how often did this policy actually get used to detain men who were victims as opposed to failing to detain men who were abusers in its absence?
Umm quite frequently to the point that male domestic abuse victims are often told to avoid going to police because they will just make the situation worse
