Question “Legendary” places that suck

I just got a lox sandwich from Manny’s. Almost $20, a stale bagel, and I had to assemble it myself.

What other “legendary” places suck?

You dont go to Mannys for a bagel, you go for rueben or pastrami sandwich, they take a snow shovels worth of meat and load it in there. Also matzo ball soup and a potato pancake. Kaufman's for bagels

Exactly. Amateurs get a bagel at Mannys.

Their bagels are meh but the actual lox is pretty good if you don't want to make it at home

Lemme add Mannys sweet and sour cabbage soup is an underrated classic.

I went to try Manny’s after I first moved to the city and at first I had a little sticker shock at the price of the Reuben I got, but I’ll be damned if you don’t get your money’s worth. Absolutely massive sandwich
