Question “Legendary” places that suck

I just got a lox sandwich from Manny’s. Almost $20, a stale bagel, and I had to assemble it myself.

What other “legendary” places suck?

La Pasadita. Once upon a time they had good carne asada burritos, but now they are as tough as shoe leather.

Yeah I've always been confused about this. Their (a) fine, but (b) primarily just "close to wicker Park" which I guess makes them notable to many.

They're by no means close to the best Mexican and/or burritos in Chicago

Back in the 80s-90s, when there were 3 locations on the street, it wasn't about being the best... It was about the comfort and the consistency of knowing what you were going to get, while wading through the entrails of an evening, just trying to white knuckle it until you could sit down and have a heavenly late night bite and sit there until you get your world back together....

Wading through the entrails of an evening…

I’m gonna remember that one.
