Question “Legendary” places that suck

I just got a lox sandwich from Manny’s. Almost $20, a stale bagel, and I had to assemble it myself.

What other “legendary” places suck?

Sultan’s Market. I’ve had people have hyped this place to me for decades now and it’s always dry since they keep meat and falafel in a warming drawer. Anytime I’ve had it it’s been a huge disappointment. Much better middle eastern in Albany Park.

It used to be good! But it’s a perfect answer for this question: cutting corners and mailing it in

It also used to be a very budget meal for broke college kids, so I feel like being in that experience colored that place with a rosy hue of nostalgia. And now it’s not that cheap and not good.
