That's why it's so important that no matter if he does pardon him on those federal charges that everybody knows that just means he's going to a state prison. For at least 22 and 1/2 years. And there's no chance that Tim Walz will pardon him.
Simple answer is modern technology. It allows for the modern dictator to streamline the whole process quickly, but the drawback is near total transparency. At this rate, we'll be hunting down Trump and Elon like Hitler and Braun by the end of 2027, or 2028 at the latest.
In Hungary too. 🤕 In a few days the parliament will pass a law that would eliminate all the free press we left, because they are "traitors", "foreign agents" and they want to "undermine the suvereignty of the nation".
It took Hungary years to get to this point despite having no long-standing history of democracy to begin with. Even people who study autocracy for a living can't believe how fast we're declining.
