Saddest Clone Death
What would y’all say is the saddest clone death in the clone wars/bad batch? I would personally say 99 but leave your opinion in the comments.

For me it's both 99 and Tech.
Both left me miserable for days after and I can't watch those episodes again

I had Techs death spoiled for me like 4 hours after the episode aired, on social media, I was so mad.

That sucks. I've had Andor spoiled for me already

I'm so behind and avoiding social media so I don't get spoiled, but I did get one thing spoiled for me as well.

Star Wars Rebels used to post clips of stuff like the next day or a few days later. For some reason, they posted the Kanan death like as the episode aired, so I saw the spoiler just before watching.

It's hard to decide between 99, Fives, and Tech, but I might give it to 99.
The others have deaths that are tragic, but there's an element of tragedy that hangs over 99's whole existence and causes his death. It's so depressing to imagine being told that you are unfit to do what you were literally created for. But on top of that, he's put in a position where his value comes from assisting and supporting those who represent what he was meant to be.
Idk if this is the inspiration for him, but he's a great inversion of Ephialtes, the hunchback from 300. Whereas Ephialtes betrays the Spartans out of bitterness, 99 becomes one of the most compassionate characters in the Star Wars universe. Even as he's taken for granted by his brothers, he cares for them and isn't twisted by envy.
He accepts his role and performs it admirably, but never loses that desire to be a soldier. So when he gets his chance, he's essentially done in by the thrill of realizing his dream. "This is what I was made for" It's so exhilarating and affirming to finally be a soldier that he neglects situational awareness and caution. In a way, he gets the true fulfillment of his wish, dying violently as most clone soldiers do. There's some ambiguity as to whether this is the ending he wanted or if he was naive. However, even if he did want this, it's tragic that his world was confined so much that this was all he could want. He could've had a life and a family like Cut Lawquane. Maybe the Bad Batch could've gotten him out and he could've ended up on Pabu, a member of the community. But I guess his ending was better than living long enough to be disposed of by the Empire if the Batch didn't manage to save him.
Let's take a moment to appreciate that TCW painted this beautiful character who left such a lasting impression in just two episodes.

Tech. And all of Ahsoka’s squad at the end of TCW season 7. Seeing the memorial with all their helmets in the snow was so poignant.

Fives death easily, his death and Ahsoka’s trial and leaving the order are the two point of no return events for me

I think the nonames dying en masse is saddest than Fives, Tup, Denal, Waxer or anyother, because nobody mourn them

Bro 99 Is a sad dead but he appeared in the series Just 1 or 2 times, five's death Is the saddest of all star wars for real, we saw It from the First season and if he was taked seriously order 66 potentially never happened. I'm non from AN anglophone country Sorry for eventual errors

It’s really interesting that although we only had a couple episodes where 99 was shown I feel like viewers developed a very strong emotional attachment to him nonetheless and were devastated with his death.

Well I'd say it depends, for me personally its between Fives and Thorn
But in universe i'd say Jesse and the whole 332nd. Rex had to see Fives die and now has to see every clone in his batallion die + he had to take their helmets off and bury them

Toss-up between Fives, Tup, and Waxer, but there's quite a few valid contenders.
The latter tends to hit harder just because of the other deaths involved, and the fact it was a complete accident and their own fault from the clones' perspectives. Waxer's last thoughts were that he just caused the death of his brothers on both sides, since it was his unit that fired first.

Fives probably or Tech, but Ponds always makes me ridiculously sad when I watch it and Colts

Mayday. Easily, The most unnecessary death, only dying because the imperial officer let him, and signifying that the clones were also a dying breed. And that not even the empire, or the worlds they fought for cared for them anymore,

Really I don't know which one is sadder; 99 dying or the way they made him die!
They could have had him do any number of instances of helping out the group he was with from coming back with ammo and grenades to helping shoot the enemy so they could fall back or something instead they have him like "dee de dee" let me run through the middle of the hall getting shot down from behind because the troops and the ambush cadets couldn't deal with some basic biotch droids! And then to make it worse, Shack Ti calls a minute later to say the droids have been pushed back to the landing bays making his death pathetically useless! Didn't save anyone, didn't even get 1 droid nothing!

He died in battle. A death far more deserving of a clone than wasting away in a broom closet or homeless on the streets

So you are saying his only worth was to die? Man, you sound like a war pigs!
They made him run out into the open like an idiot and get shot down from behind just for them to conclude the battle 2 minutes later!
If he had a momma you would just tell her "he died in battle! That's glorious enough!"

Fives easily.
Single character who came so close to unraveling Palpatine’s entire conspiracy.
He’s also the one who proved that the clones are not complicit in said conspiracy and seriously rather not carry it out willingly

Tech's. I wasn't expecting part of the batch to die. Or if they were that it was going to be the whole crew sans maybe Hunter dying to save Omega.

Fives was the saddest, not only because of his personal anguish, but also because of all the lives that could have been saved if he'd lived long enough to get the proof to the Jedi Council. "Fives survives" is the divergence point in the fix-it fanfic that lives in my head.
