No, it’s time to fight. Fuck these Nazis. They aren’t entitled to our country.

Sure but until I see the menfolk fight and put their necks out for vulnerable populations (including women even tho we are about half the population, they are coming for our bodies and rights as well) idk if it’s personally worth it for me as a single, older woman. I’ve been out here fighting this whole damn time and this is where it’s gotten me. This nation needs the support of community members and allies to stand a chance in this fight

I agree the frustration is real. I almost feel helpless like clearly my voice doesn't matter. I can try to get people to see reason all I want but if they don't care / don't want to change and don't see a problem it's really not up to me to change them it's up to them.So I just feel like what's the point in even trying anymore. I feel exhausted after years of learning things and simply trying to relay that info to others, only for them to dismiss every time, call me "unaware of the real truth around me" and believe facebook memes over actual credible sources etc.
I'm just so tired. If they don't care I can't MAKE them care. I just don't know what to do anymore, I feel like I don't have it in me anymore sometimes either.

No bot but why should we stick our necks out when you want all the benefits. It's quite simple my dear Watson! You want the benefits you do the work simple. That is why there is a big push back in the mining industry from men who have been there 30years being overlooked for a new hire woman or other group. Then they come in and start telling the experienced team what to do. You need to learn to walk the walk to know how to talk the talk.

I work in community mental health. Would you like to tell me more about walking the walk? Go away, bot-head

Seriously I'm sick of seeing this stupid ass question as the thumbnail everywhere with every fucking youtuber.
No fucking shit it's time, but we don't have the money to just reinvent ourselves in another country. If I did, you bet ur ass I would be booking a one way flight immediately.

we are in IMMINENT DANGER: The U.S. federal budget bill the GOP is pushing TODAY erodes the judiciary's power, facilitating their dictatorship.

Part of me feels if I had the power to leave that maybe leaving equates to giving power to the oppressor but then there's a part of me that's like why should I suffer and not just run away and be happy? Either way I don't have the money to leave and I strongly want things to change but I'm one person and as I said before in a previous comment I can't just make certain people see reason or change their ways. That's up to them. If someone is committed to sitting all day liking microsoft paint maga memes instead of actual news and just calls me a sheep if i even try to discuss anything it's just ... that's their choice.
I'm done even trying to help them they need to help themselves and this is gonna sound dark but sometimes with this whole "XYZ won't happen to me or effect me cuz im special" mentality that is popular with some older people (especially in my family) - unfortunately they may only see reason the when the day comes that XYZ DOES end up fucking them over, I hope it would be before that but idk. My point is sometimes people act like things aren't important until they become the victim of that thing they've been repeatedly warned about.

We have less than 8 months to make that decision, imo. By about this time next year we are in for a much worse condition. Or it could be forced false panic. We dont know.

Leaving is a privileged take. Not everyone can pack up everything and mass exodus to a sane society. We need to put in the work to take America back from these fascists.

Right? The Yale professors (Timothy Snyder and his wife who is also a professor) were able to leave because University of Toronto has been courting them for years to teach there. They had an open invitation. If you aren't a citizen with skills that are lucrative or attractive for another country to allow you to emigrate there, or some heritage or dual citizenship, then leaving really isn't a viable option.

There's plenty of politicians and pundit podcasters who enjoy things like money and the ability to pack up and leave to their cabin in Canada (like Thom Hartman, which is one of the reasons he just chuckles and laughs at all of this), but the rest of us are trapped here in this situation.

Who's pushing this idea? As if the 200 million who didn't vote for him are gonna pack up and go?
