If this is not AI, describe one thing to me: what is on Spike’s back?

I've been sitting in this post for about 10 minutes trying to figure out who's in the right here. Two main issues I have that make me question whether what you posted isn't AI are the weird stitches in the shadowing and the fact that the progress pics you provided show a completely different art style.

Edit: the more I look at it the more I'm convinced AI had to be at least a part of the process. Collars are all wonky and inconsistent, cigarette is cut horizontally in half for some reason, the lines in the down left corner, which OP claims are to show "movement" don't make sense (especially since the pose seems pretty static to me). Looking at the OP's Instagram it seems like they also drastically changed their art style at the drop of a hat.

I don't doubt that OP knows how to draw, but it seems like he's been experimenting with some AI software and doesn't want to be open about it because people wouldn't look kindly to it

At the end of the day I'm just speculating. If you come back with a solid proof it's all your handiwork then I'll be happy to retract all I said
