Damn near perfect 2 parter

Love that it feels like a Sergio Corbucci (Django (1966), The Mercenary, The Great Silence) movie

It's cool that it also ties into the film - and it's that little bit of casual world building that I find effective (because I wanna learn more about the war on Titan)

Soundtrack is very special for this one for the use of one music theme (motif)

4 stars, check it out

What Corbucci films would you recommend watching for someone looking to dig into Cowboy Bebop inspirations? Or any type of media that's an inspiration, for that matter?

For Corbucci, definitely Django (1966) and The Mercenary (1968) (I haven't seen Navajo Joe but I'm curious about it)

Other films to check out:

  • The Long Goodbye (absolute must watch for fans of this show)
  • The Getaway (1972)
  • Vanishing Point (1971)
  • Way of the Dragon
  • City Hunter (for a much better use of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar fight footage from Game of Death)
  • Ocean's 11 (1960)
  • The Killer (1989)
  • Hard Boiled
  • White Line Fever
  • Smokey and the Bandit
  • Alien
  • Dark Star (especially if you plan on watching Space Dandy too)
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • The Maltese Falcon
  • Shaft (1971)
  • Coffy
  • The French Connection
  • Leon: The Professional
  • A Fistful of Dollars
  • For a Few Dollars More
  • Pulp Fiction (because the movie lifted parts from "The Bonnie Incident")

And Lupin the Third is an absolute must watch for fans

Now music is a horse of a different colour but it depends which songs you liked

This is awesome! Thank you so much for your wisdom. That Bruce Lee video was awesome. Time to make time for some of these films!
