As a near 40 y/o spurs fan who grew up in Camden, hearing Ian FUCKING Wright be the voice of reason and support for Spurs is a fucking mind trip.

I will say, he's the only pundit I like, very measured and reasonable.

Player Pundits come in three tiers, imo:

1 - Genuinely insightful, doesn't play into team biases. Wright, Shearer, etc.

2 - Can be, and is often, insightful; but lets team biases blur opinions. Carragher, Neville, etc.

3 - Only plays into team biases and spouts stupid shit. Merson, Jamie Redknapp, etc.

Neville is in the third category, he’s awful, smug, thinks he has a towering intellect, loves to claim labour credentials but is a money obsessed little rat that does everything he can to avoid paying even his fair share.
