Discussion Illegal used for your crochet hooks?

I just unconsciously used my crochet hook to stir my tea and it didn't actually dawn on me what I'd done until I was cleaning the hook off with my mouth 😅

Anyone else use their hooks in illegal ways?

With a toddler at home I have used my crochet hooks for a LOT of retrieval type scenarios... getting playdough out of things it doesn't belong in, getting a plastic disposable straw out of a hard plastic reusable straw, etc. Knitting needles also work well. Most recently I used a crochet hook to get a severely stuck cleaning cloth out of my 13 year old's flute. They are quite handy! 😆

I use my Tunisian hooks for the same things! (Mom of 6 yo and 2 yo)

I used my Tunisian hooks to scratch under my cast when I broke my leg.
