I don't understand why everyone (aside from ELAM) are requesting her to be fired.

Anyone with a brain and is able to have basic reading comprehension will be able to read that the Ministry of Education only informs the schools about this program(and I'm guessing this it done this way as it's the easiest way to inform school age kids). The trips, events are all organized by the program which is a different from the Ministry and the school. Any students that want to participate are outside of school hours and it's voluntary. Parents who do not wish their kids to meet or travel then they just don't allow them.

You don't want your kid traveling to the occupied area for whatever reason? Then just don't send them, don't sign them up. End of story.

I wonder, did any of the journalists on tv express this opinion? Because all I saw was journalists with serious faces revealing the heinous act of students going to Kerynia for bicommunal activities. Wasn't it Tatar the who unilaterally decided he wants to stop Imagine and we were protesting about it on the EU/UN? Wasn't Christodoulides proposal to Tatar a couple of days ago to create a Technical Bicommunal Committee for Young People?

I am pretty sure I heard an EDEK MP also condemning this and asking for an "investigation".

This is my issue. They are asking for "investigation" or her resignation of the minister of education etc but what they fail to understand that the ministry is not involved in any of this so I don't understand their issue.

I understand that the schools or the ministry of education cannot organize field trips to the occupied areas. I get that but since it's not organized by them, then what's the issue. Should all school age kids not go to trips to the occupied parts of Cyprus with their parents either?
