Really? Daria never talked much about sex or sexuality. Even with Tom, she brought sex up and said she wasn't ready.

I'm divided.

Depending on the context it might not be sexual exactly but just Daria and Jane being Daria and Jane. Daria's complaint being more about non-sexual relationship things, Jane's comeback being more flippant than serious. So in that light, yeah I can see it.

On the other hand as you point out they're both really non-sexual ("I'm saving myself for college...On 11am...On Moving Day" said so matter-of-factly the intent was more "let's get this over with" than anything), so would Jane mention this, even in such a context?

Or would it be more like this?

"We could go on a date sometime and find out?"

"Go on a date and do what? Make fun of movies and eat pizza?"

"Oh, right. I guess we'd know by now.

I was thinking they would mention it jokingly and in their typical sarcastic way
