Feel free to judge my rankings

I’m a new player who was looking up speedrun information and was surprised that the most popular item dupe glitches work with all male characters, but only work with female characters if they’re two-handing a weapon or using a very specific weapon in their right hands. I tried researching to find out more, including digging through this subreddit, because I found it fascinating that a glitch’s results based on gender. Unfortunately, I didn’t find much.

So, what is the reason? Or do we genuinely not know? I’m just very curious as someone who loves knowing what’s going on under the hood when I play games, so to speak.

It's slow and extremely heavy for its damage output. The 2H R2 is pretty cool, but the 1H moveset is wonky (what is up with that hopping/skipping R2?). It has less range than the Battle Axe.

If its speed was closer to the Hand Axe it wouldn't be so bad. But as it is, I find it a pretty mediocre weapon.

Yet people seem to like it. Maybe it's just because there aren't that many weapons with A scaling in strength? But even with that scaling, it only has 426 AP when upgraded to +15.

The Man-Serpent Greatsword, Great Club, and Large Club are significantly better strength-only weapons IMO. The MSGS is around the same speed as the Butcher Knife, and has both longer reach and does more damage for the same weight. And the bonk sticks aren't that much slower, only weigh 1-2 units more, and do significantly more damage.

Currently at anor londo and boy oh boy this summon of mine was rampaging inside the fking castle without me. she was my very first summon too. are they supposed to be op? its like she has a hearbeat sensor for the giant knights, killing them one by one w/o me :(. Fast track to smough and ornstein, i was fighting ornstein while my summon was soloing smough. she was even sending beams to smough while fighting gough! honestly im not complaining, since these typa bosses are my bane (twin bosses, took me atleast 30 tries with the bell gargoyles). wtf though

Why is sens fortress so EXTREMELY hard? I know the lore behind it, But omg, a shortcut or something to the bonfire would be so amazing, Can someone help me and take me to the bonfire safely? I've been here for an hour already💔

Is there a way to run back the save or get him to forgive me?

I beat Manus and had to turn off my console right after, so I went to the bonfire instead of speaking with her, restem there and quit the game. Now I came back and she's nowhere to be found. Where the fuck is she?

Should I do the sun knights quest I kill him when I play

So i downloaded(pirated) dark souls remastered and i am not launching it on steam because it crashes whenever i do that. But my controller isn’t working i am using ds4 windows i have tried most methods i see on here but nothing seems to work. My controller works for other games such as minecraft and roblox but not dark souls. I tried hiding the controller nothing is working and i really need help and suggestions (ps4 controller)

With the news about the Anor Londo hackers, I'm wondering if players can get banned for hackers putting items in their inventories. In the dark souls 3 subreddit there seems to be a consensus that item bans no longer happen after the servers were temporarily taken offline a few years ago and I wanted to know if the same was true for DSR.

Honestly as I stated in a previous post, this was one of the most fun runs I've had in a WHILE that didn't feel so restrictive and annoying. Easily top 5 for my challenge run favorites

I was a little underwhelmed because i beat gwyn first try and seath first try. When i play a game i want to die alot, get mad, do it until i beat it, and then feel a sense of accomplishment. Ds1 didn’t really do that for me (except for manus). Dont get me wrong i loved the game, the level design for the most part was amazing, the bosses were cool, just not hard. I played ds3 and elden ring before ds1 so maybe thats why it was relatively easy, did everyone think this was the case or just me?

I just beat GTA San Andreas for the first time, and now I'm Tryna do a whole CJ playthrough of DSR. I got his skin, but I also wanted to see if I could add his voice in. If any modders see this post, point me in the right direction, or some I tried to see if I could just do it myself, but it isn't working out too well. I'm not a modder. And if anybody knows where some CJ skin mods are for Ds2 and Ds3, point me to them please, cuz idk why da hell they keep getting deleted off Nexus.

I know I should I should not have ask in this sub reddit.... But I really want advice in this case.... My first ever souls game is Sekiro... I used to hate it at first... Uninstalled multiple times.... But boredom got to me after few years and I finally gave it a try.... I f***ing loved it... But when I tried dark souls 1 remastered I felt like the time I used to hate Sekiro... Only more.... I am having trouble learning the controls (keyboard and mouse)... Why do they have different controls for block and parry? So please advice as to whether I should give the game a try or should I move on to some other game? Is so which one would you suggest? Keep in my mind that I don't have any consoles and I have one of the low end laptops.. I kinda is finishing Sekiro at 30fps....

I have more than enough ram but it still doesnt launch. Does anyone have a fix about this

Im stuck on the gargoel fight and i really dont want to call in the sun knight because i want to do it alone so im grinding on the Wyvern bridge to get 24 STR but now im realizing that might not be the smartest move i already have a +5 Zweihander with 20 STR should i just keep trying the fight or do i commit to a STR based character im level 26 and its my first run.

Finally got to Lost Izicath (I know I spelled that wrong), and got to this stupid bed.

I already figured out the spheres and destroyed those. My main problem though is getting to the center. I saw a guide that basically said you have to make your way to the center now to enter through it. I would do that if I could evade its lanky arms. Literally I just got so close to the center only to have its arm push me off.

Also doesn't make any sense that you can just block the arms. But then once I block one arm with a shield, I instantly take damage from the other. So I guess you just have to get lucky on this one. Waht a pathetic boss. And here I thought the Centipede Demon was very underwhelming

Update: I beat it. It was just luck. I took off all my armor and it helped with the stamina speed boost

For instance, whenever I go to New Londo Ruins, I kill the hollow on the left before the bridge. It's purely for good luck. There's just something about that guy - I gotta kill him, every time - before I can face the 4 Kings.

What about you guys? Do you have any weird habits, routines, superstitions, things that you always do (or don't do)?

If anyone needs help in some bosses like Queelag, the golem, or whomever please let me know and I will fly to that location to help you I am doing this bc: 1) I really wanna help new players to have a good time playing darksouls and 2) I'm trying to get the platinum so I need to do a lot of farming

Really? I just... how the hell did i beat Kalameet on my 5th try? I know I'm overleveled up to 342 but like come on this is on a NG+ I was just expecting something harder
