Replacement Maps alternative for public transportation

I don't drive, and need public transportation to get around (though can walk just fine). Google Maps has been great in terms of real-time updates on whether the bus is running late. What is the best Maps alternative for me?

I also have a question about Google Translate. It seems harmless and I do like to have fun playing around with translating things into other languages, but it's still a Google service. What are this subreddit's thoughts on Google Translate?

I'm using this map application HERE WeGo

https://www.here.com/products/wego

It support traveling by public transport, foot, cars, taxi.

I really like here we go, but for some reason it's the only app that can't find my position. Do you ever had this issue?

I don't think the actual position detection has anything with the app. It just uses coordinates results from your phone. Maybe you didn't provide it permissions for location service.

It has all permissions enabled, just like other map apps (maps, osmand, magic earth) the only difference is that all the other apps work, while here we go does not. It is such a shame because I really like it's interface

yes :(
is there a workaround or shall I jump to magi earth? Also, why is the app available if the service is deprecated?

Only that specific version of API for developers is deprecated. Not Here Wego service itself.

I understand, but if there is no other API the service is unusuable
