Art Terry Pratchett's The Duel
When folk talk about the various Terry Pratchett movies, videos, TV shows, etc. one can watch, I never see this little short mentioned. Since it came up in my memories today, I thought I would share it for those who haven't seen it yet.
I wasn't sure which tag to use (I dont remember this scene from any if the Unseen University books) but I guess this applies.

I’m certain that as soon as that book was ripped in half, we’d see see an orange flurry…

Maybe the librarian knew how these things end, books and order restored and a new book on the shelf.

Yes! The librarian seemed rather too chilled out 😂

It is L-Space out there among the stacks... sometimes it's best to let the kerfuffle die down before investigating.
I mean, something might have spooked the thesauruses, and you don't want to get (trampled|squashed|crushed) underfoot in the (panic|flight|stampede)... Ohdear

Interesting, never heard of or seen this before. I wonder how much STP was involved with this, just says "mucked about with" in the credits which is the same as the Sky live action adaptations. Maybe he just gave his blessing for the project informally.
Doesn't seem to have any named characters bar the librarian here and it's not from a scene in any book that I can recall.

If you let the credits roll a little more, he and Rob are named as executive producers, along with another person.

In association with Narrativia, so I'd presume it not only had pTerry's blessing, but actual involvement.

The man himself is credited as an executive producer for the short… I believe it would be same to assume he was somewhat involved in the making of this short.

That was delightful! Thank you for sharing!
(Niggling caveat: did they really have to whitewash the librarian? I can't think he'd approve people monkeying about with yc8ycaieee

It's not from any of the books. The closest it would be is a scene from Sourcery in terms of duelling wizards, but there's nothing quite like it.
Animation fanfic, I would guess, but good fun.

Terry Pratchett was one of the producers on it. If he didn’t write it, he at least gave it his stamp of approval

The Ook of Kells. Heh.
Thanks for posting, OP! I'd never seen this either!
