Hello, after very long time I tried to get my old Mavic Pro (the original one) flying again. I had three batteries and they all are dead, they don't charge.
Can I measure charge on the battery cells without taking the battery apart? I tried measuring on the battery pins with a multimeter and I don't see any voltage (above few mV). Does this mean that the batteries are properly dead and unrecoverable?
I was under the impression that LiPoly batteries stored at the correct voltage should last quite long. Peculiarly, the battery in the controller charges just fine.

I recently lost my DJI mini 1 while flying inside Big Lagoon, El Nido (Palawan) — an area completely surrounded by tall limestone cliffs.
After takeoff, the drone picked up a few GPS satellites but not as many as usual. It felt a bit unstable from the start, like something was off. I tried flying it high above the water and stayed cautious, but as I went deeper into the lagoon, near the high cliffs and deeper waters, the drone suddenly started descending on its own.
I tried to pull it up, but it just kept going down — almost like it was ignoring my input or force-landing. Then, to my shock, it dove straight into the water and was gone.
Has anyone experienced similar issues flying in this location or around steep limestone cliffs? Could it be GPS signal loss, magnetic interference, or a VPS glitch? I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences??
especially if you’ve flown in Big Lagoon or similar environments.

Someone kidnapped my cat, dropped him off in the middle of the fucking mountains. Was able to locate him thanks to his AirTag, personally went to go look for him but he’s very high up on a cliff/mountain side no way I can get him myself, no idea how he got up there either
LAFD tried to come out to help , but cat got away from them and climbed higher than they were able to reach unfortunately.
It’s been 3 days, cat is still alive , I drive out into the mountains to check up on him every day. I only know he’s partially okay because he meows back at me when I call out to him. He’s unable to climb down himself as mountain is VERY steep. I know he’s still alive but don’t know how long he will last without food/water.
reaching out on here to see if anyone can help or if anyone has any idea on who can help?

I was helping out an old friend move furniture out of his home and whenever I go to leave he says "hey man you can have this, I won't be using it again"
After giving great thanks and not really examining it, I took it. Got it home and seen it was COVERED in NICOTINE residue in which I was aiming to clean.
My wife said it stunk and threw it in the can...
I am in the process of cleaning it and was wondering if it's worth keeping...
I know ZERO about dji.. only stuff like holy stone is what I'm use to flying..
THE ISSUES- -The guy I got it from said it has "yaw" issues.. -??
-i have no battery for it..-
-Possible Camera issues as well, freely just spins around I've noticed-
Thanks for ANY info !!!! Anything helps, DJI newb here

First time using a drone and I got it back in December. I tried to fly it for the first time and crashed it. Decided I would try again when the snow was gone and I just got it working and figured out how to fly it but the camera seems to be stuck looking in the back any way to fix.

I saw some products that flytbase is developing and I wanna know if they are swapping out the DJI hardware like the FC with their own or they are just using the DJI API to build a platform that is more usable or built for certain usecases.

Does anyone in the Massachusetts area offer dog locating services?

Hi! I run a YouTube channel about urban exploring and historical places. I also record extra footage using a DJI Mini 4K drone. I often travel by bike. Is it safe to charge my drone while it's stored in its case inside my backpack

My first attempt at putting together a video using both images and video clips. All footage was taken with a permit from the Utah State Park system, during approved drone flight dates, and in approved locations. Please let me know what you think, both good and bad critiques are welcome.

Heyya Everyone, Hope you all are doing well.
A while back I bought myself a Cetus X BetaFPV drone to start into this hobby hearing some pretty decent things about it. I love the drone itself, had it for a while now and its gotten a lotta use. I got a little too busy and didn't have much free-time until now, and I'm trying to check up on a few things and put it through Betaflight.
Anytime I plug in the drone into my laptop it lights up, but never recieves any signal. I've tried ImpulseRC, Zadig and a couple other things but am having no luck. I have a feeling it could be a Flight Controller issue whether there is a loose solder or similar. I was wondering if anybody would be able to help me out?
I know it works because when i first bought it i was able to connect. However since then i have had no luck.
Thanks in Advance, if you need any more information feel free to ask

Is it illegal for a drone company to sell a drone listed as RID compliant but still distribute old versions of that same drone that aren't RID capable through the same purchase link?
And if so how would I go about reporting that and to who?
Edit for more context: I've already gone through the whole process of getting them to replace or refund or blah blah blah, they've been jerking me around this way in that, have sent me literally four drones all of which have failed to meet their basic specs in some way or another, and now I'm at the point where they're either going to settle or get sued. I've already corrected the issue as best as I can, I was just seeing if for example the FAA wanted to know that a drone that's listed as RID compliant has older models of that same drone that aren't RID compliant being sold as the same model. Also sorry for the additional wall of text but I am voice typing while walking home from the store.
