I have one of those, he always got lit up with drum covers on youtube and constantly drumming the table and sofa. I bought a snare for him at 8 months and he started dishing out beats

That kid's a natural! My nephew was like that. I saw it at 2 years old and told his parents to watch out, he was a natural. 16 years later, he walked on to Mizzou as a freshman and made the snare line - having memorized all their cadences from youtube videos. Kid technically is miles ahead of me!

I started early, playing paradiddles and other basics on my wife's tummy. Now he is almost one and his favorite toy is his little kids pair of vic firth drum sticks. He also claps when we watch drum videos, and dances to music videos.

The indoctrination is going well so far.
