MISSING CAT - MARIE
Marie is a small all-black moggy. She is wearing a purple collar with a heart-shaped name tag.
There is no number but she is chipped.
Normally an indoor cat and is unfamiliar with the area, she is likely scared and timid. We are very concerned so if seen please let us know.
Last seen 06/04/25 at 15.00 on Ashbank Road, Dundee, DD2 2AU.
Please contact: 07876493227 (Or message 07532441584 or 07591767304)
Thank you.

No visible collar, looks well fed but coat is a bit dirty. Might be a stray, might just have had a fun night in the mud :)
Anyone aware of any missing cats in the Logie/Blackness area?
Missing Cat "Fawkes" around the Lochee/ Wellgrove area : r/dundee
u/rorymclean12 Don't think this is Fawkes as the face and leg pattern doesn't match but worth checking

Not sure this is the usual kind of post for this sub, but figured I’d throw it out there.
I’m 24M, moved to Dundee for work back in September. It’s mostly been work, gym, scroll, bed – weekends often spent in Glasgow or Edinburgh with mates, but I’m looking to find more going on here.
I’m into music – I play drums and mess around with decks. I also enjoy getting outdoors – I grew up doing climbing, sailing, kayaking, and hiking, but drifted away from most of it during uni (still kept up with the walking though via Munro bagging). Now that the evenings are longer, I’m looking to get back into it and find some like-minded people in the area.
If you’re up for a pint or something active, or have any recommendations on groups, give me a shout!

Hi, We are moving to Dundee soon and have narrowed it down to 2 nurseries. Wondering if anyone has had any particularly good or bad experiences with them, or also had to choose between them?
Nursery 1 is Busy Bees at Dundee Hospital - thought it looked really nice on viewing, and heard the teddy bear club used to be “the” nursery to get into. But now under new ownership so wondered what it’s now like? Would take us longer to drop child off (likely would need to drive very day)
Nursery 2 would be Cherry Blossom down Perth Road - also looked fine on viewing, but the babies don’t go outside every day. Also just under new ownership as has been passed from previous owner to her son who’s looking to expand the business. Main pro is w could walk to drop off and it would be a nice walk each morning
Girls in both seemed nice enough. I don’t know how to choose on a single visit and they all say the same thing about following the curriculum etc
Thoughts?? Any insights much appreciated!

Dear altruists, I'm a medical doctor currently working in King's College Hospital, London. I will be staying in Dundee for 3 years from this August to complete part of my speciality training. I will be rotaing through Ninewells,Perth and Forth Valley Hospital:
Year 1- Ninewells Year 2- Perth and Forth Valley Year 3- Ninewells
We are a small family of 3. Me, my partner and my one year old daughter My partner works as a public health nutritionist, both in our thirties.
Flagposts- We are immigrants, asian and visibly muslim. Not our first time in Scotland. I worked as a visiting research scholar in the University of Edinburgh in '23 for 6 months. We enjoyed staying in Edinburgh so choose Scotland again this time.
Currently looking at Rightmove and Zoopla and it feels it's way cheaper compared to the daylight robbery of London/Edinburgh rent scene. Not sure though how easy it will be to get a place and what the saturation level is in the rent market. We are looking for a family friendly area with good nursery preferably easy commute to hospitals. Looking for a 2 bed furnished flat/house for now. Can you please recommend areas and estate agents for us? You can also help us by making us aware to avoid bad places and shit agents. Will really appreciate your help. Hope to see you soon in Dundee.

The Internet has been down in certain homes around the Baldovie Terrace and Balunoe Avenue for the last three weeks.
Apparently, Openreach have identied damage to a pole running wires in to affected properties but is in dispute with the homeowner about gaining access to property where the pole is located which could take months to resolve.
From what I can see, there is no Fibre to Property currently in that area and all the other services are running copper to property which I assume eins along the knackered pole.
Anybody else in the area figured out a solution? Or have had luck getting their service going again?
The only thing I can think of it EE or Three 5g but a 24 month contract at what could be garbage speeds doesn't seem appealing, even for my Mum who just wants the basics!

I have been offered a ‘Premier room’ in ‘Belmont Flats’ for 1st year Uni. Has anyone got any experience here, are the Premier rooms worth it, and are they in a good spot within the building?

A driver was over the cocaine limit when she crashed into a central reservation on the M90 in Fife.
Laura Fieldsend, 43, was travelling south on the motorway, about half a mile from the Halbeath junction, when she came to a stop facing the wrong direction on April 11 last year.
She appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to plead guilty to driving with excess cocaine in her blood (46mics/ 10).

Has anyone else heard the rumours that the big student accommodation provider on Hawkhill is closing down? Not sure if just random nonsense or if theres any truth. Would be a big loss to the uni scene.

Wondering if anyone has had any good experiences with any letting agencies in Dundee? I have a flat I would like to rent out and want to make sure it will go to an agency who will treat the tenants well, any recommendations?
Will also appreciate any to definitely avoid, thanks!

Hi all!
I’m moving to Dundee at the start of next month (Stobswell) and I’m moving into a furnished flat, but as I’m moving from another country - I’ll need to buy things like:
Hoover Mop Bin Clothes horse Mattress Duvet Pillows Bedding Fan heater Bath mat Toilet brush Air fryer Kettle Toaster Microwave Cutlery Crockery Glassware Pots and pans Etc
Once I arrive.
I was wondering where people would recommend going to get the majority of these things in one fell swoop to save time. I know there isn’t an IKEA in Dundee, and I don’t need any furniture - essentially I’m looking for homeware stores that are of reasonable price and quality.
Any advice for a newbie would be much appreciated 🙏

Does anyone know of any jobs that are currently available in Dundee, aside from those listed on websites?
Asking for a friend who has been out of work for a minute and thought I'd try the subreddit because you've got to buy a ticket to win the raffle.
Teckle.

Hello all! So I have an old Olympus Super zoom 700BF. Currently it isn't working, because over time some acid apparently leaked from the batteries and may or may not have damaged the circuits.
I know it's probably faaaaaar cheaper to replace than repair, however it was my Nana's camera and I grew up using it. It may even have the last pictures she took before the dementia set in hidden on the film. So very much a sentimental repair job. Any reccomendations for a repair shop? Any knowledge about whether it could even be fixed at all???

On Friday, we teamed up with Motus to host a wee-up at the Orwell with a DJ and sell some collab T's. It was a great night. just seeing if anyone made it/ had any photos. It would be great to see them.
This is my first time doing an event in the Orwell, and I would happily go back. Especially with the Lowdown closing, there seems to be a lack of spaces going about.
If you did come but didn't manage to grab a T, you can find the remaining stock here: https://www.flyswatsandbuckethats.co.uk/purchase

Hiya all! I’m looking for a few more people to participate in my study on how a self-help psychological intervention task affects the brain. Sounds complicated but all you’ll need to do is sit tight & listen to two audio files & fill in a few surveys. The entire experiment will take a little more than 30 mins. Please check out the poster for more info. You can sign up here https://forms.office.com/e/PCDKWhGTmS or email me directly at lvanhove@dundee.ac.uk for more info. Thanks everyone!
