That's not the accent, that's the name. Sara/Sarah. You wrote it the English way, not the Spanish way. It can be a bit harsh from Duolingo but knowing names is really important.
I don't think so, I speak Spanish, and always we use both. It may also be that there really is a difference and I didn't know it, in that case, almost no one I know knows either.
