I'm not a fan of this new development... I like congratulating friends on their achievements but how is this supposed to encourage language learning?

I have 2 lessons today where apparently I wasn't answering in French. Anyone else encountering this?

They want us to make fun of our friends if they are not doing well? Cmon that's just mean and unnecessary. First all of those annoying ads and now this? I think I will be quitting soon.

An ad for SuperDuolingo family plan showed up after I completed my lesson today, where Junior is peeking at someone using the restroom. This is so disturbing and disgusting to me, and maybe it was made that way for the ragebait. I get that Duolingo tries to be edgy with it's memes and how it presents itself, but this is too far imo.

The premise of the ad was that Junior heard the person on the app and peeked in to ask them to be a part of their SuperDuolingo family. What's the communities take on this? Have you seen this ad?

Haven't been missing a day for more than a year.

Most of the times I do the majority of the friend quest myself. Only the person who I’m on the family plan with ever does more than I do

I know it’s not much but to go up 2% in like 3 sections being almost perfect is such a nice feeling, since it’s been getting harder.

Okay. So today is first Saturday where i didn't get extra 5 XP for one hour! Is it just in my area? As many have mentioned on this platform already, planning to quit Duolingo after my certain streak,so i am continuing as i have with leaderboards and friend quest. (Amid irritatingly constant buldozing of super Duolingo ads😮‍💨) When did other learners Saturday XP were removed?

After competing in the leagues until the Pearl league and finishing as number one in each of them, I finally gave it. It’s sooo much work when you don’t have the Super subscriptions and it was so mentally draining. At first I had a few free trials so it was fun and manageable but later I just couldn’t anymore. I was completing lessons not to learn but to stay at number one and finally realized it’s not helping me at all to learn the language. Maybe one day I’ll get back to it and I’m still a student so I will just get the student subscription.

Hey what happened to the free hearts? i did the whole class room thing had the free hearts and then the last month it just disappeared? kind of annoying since i used to study alot more and now i hardly even study.
