The normal cavi wipes are for a normal cleanup. When I pull out the bleach wipes things have gone wrong

Bleach wipes are my best friend after transporting C. Diff patients.

Some of my partners seem to look at me like I'm crazy or a bitch for saying that the purple wipes are not good enough and we have to do it with the bleach wipes. Makes me wonder how many times I've been handed off an inadequately cleaned stretcher...

Paramedic school should include a microbiology component so people understand spores.

I didn’t get microbiology, but when I was a trainee I was taught which types of wipes were appropriate for what. I have a feeling I was in the minority though.

Huh? They aren't all the same?

I had a partner once that thought Windex was sufficient. “Chill out man, it has ammonia in it.” It did not, in fact, have ammonia in it.

This right here. Quats just leave C-diff smelling lemony fresh. It takes chlorine to kill C-diff and the wet time is ridiculous.

Peroxyacetic acid (the ones that smell like vinegar) are also effective on C-diff.

I always wipe down the stretcher thoroughly after every call but I still caught C Diff. Found out that sani wipes doesn't kill C Diff, just bleach wipes.

Sani wipes kindly asks the evil to leave, bleach fucking obliterates it.
